Welcome! I’m Dr. Stephen J. Kosmyna or Dr. Koz (and effect!) as I’m known on my personal development podcast, The Genesis Frequency! I’m all about helping others become entrepreneurs, helping them design and live the life they would love to live through personal and professional development.
I live on Okalossa Island in the Gulf of Mexico, a thin strip of an island that runs along the panhandle of Florida, also known as the Emerald Coast. I have created my life by deliberate design while spending most of my years in the snow and cold of Detroit, Michigan.
Growing up in the shadows of the automakers in Detroit, I knew I didn’t want to live my life the way so many friends and generations before me were conditioned to live; work for one of the car companies for thirty or forty years, maybe make it to retirement and collect a small pension.
I HAD NO INTEREST IN TRADING MY LIFE FOR SOMEONE ELSES'S DREAM. Look around you. Most people still do it. They move through life unconsciously, then get closer and closer to ‘game over’ and then they wonder, ‘what happened?’
This is my wife Tené and I out our back door on Okaloosa Island in Florida.
I often speak to people all over the world who are looking for a better way to live life, to live their dreams.

I GOT TO TRAVEL A BIT to some luxurious destinations working my corporate job and as soon as I walked into my first ocean front hotel room in Mexico on my very first trip, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I wanted to stay on vacation! Every year I wanted to stay on the cruise ship and live life on the beach without having to go home when someone else said it was time to go home, back to a life of simply going through the motions and getting by, void of fun, joy and happiness.
I promised myself back then that I would intentionally create a life for myself where I could work from the beach, the boat or the balcony, on my own schedule in this industry I absolutely love; personal, professional and leadership development.
I SPENT YEARS IN THE CORPORATE SPACE and I made a lot of inefficient choices along the way. I put my body through a lot of abuse and came real close to death's door. That was my wake up call to get real, real serious about this personal development stuff I had been reading about all my life but not applyng it like I should have. I got real serious about my spirituality too. I dug in and couldn't get enough! I even enrolled in a New Thought ministerial school that took me even deeper and I also earned doctorate in holistic life coaching.
AS I HEALED MY LIFE inside and out I knew I could never go back to the way life was. I also knew that staying on my ministerial / transformational path might not pay as well as my corporate job so I started looking for something to replace that corporate income. In fact I was looking for something that would have the potential for me to make my annual income my monthly income. I tried a lot of different things over the years and learned that to be really successful you have to stay with what your passionate about. For me that always led back to personal and professional development and spirtiuality. I started my company over eight years ago in this wonderful industry and I am so happy I did!
I've kept studying and learning and I kept growing and earning. I now share and help others do the same. For me it was about once and for all firing my boss and working on my terms. I wanted to work where I wanted, anywhere in the world, and whenever I wanted. I wanted to be well compensated for my efforts too. I had no interest in merely collecting a pay check that represented what someone else thought I was worth.
I work with a great team of individuals all over the world now, from all walks of life, who are living their dream.
